History

Pecan Grove is an affluent residential community located in northeastern Fort Bend County. The neighborhood consists of over 2100 homes, located near Highway 90 between Harlem Rd and FM 359 with convenient access to Hwy 59 and the Grand Parkway.

Pecan Grove was first started by Bruce Belin and Associates when they purchased approximately 1,450 acres in 1973 and by 1978 began construction of the development. Named for the stately pecan trees growing in the area, the community was originally referred to as Pecan Grove Plantation and later simply Pecan Grove.

In the mid 1980s population estimates ranged from 8,000 to 8,500 and has since increased to over 13,000. Many of our residents work in Houston, finding it an easy commute to downtown or surrounding areas as well as nearby malls and major shopping areas.

In 2018, Pecan Grove added its newest addition; Terrace at Pecan Grove, located off Pitts Rd and next to Austin Elementary, consisting of 91 homes.  A new single family home development by Chesmar Homes with unit sizes range from 2209 to 2898 square feet.
